Managing Your Privacy on PrayerConnect #
PrayerConnect is committed to protecting your privacy and giving you control over your personal data. This guide covers all the privacy and data management features available to you.
Terms Acceptance #
When you create your PrayerConnect account, you agree to the Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, and our Community Guidelines. This agreement is recorded with a timestamp and version number on your account.
If the Terms of Service or Privacy Policy are updated, you will be asked to review and accept the new version the next time you log in. You cannot access any other pages until you accept the updated terms. This ensures that all users are always operating under the current agreement.
Privacy Settings Page #
Your Privacy Settings page is your central hub for managing your personal data. To access it:
- On the web: click the Menu dropdown in the navigation bar, then select Privacy Settings.
- On mobile: open Profile from the bottom navigation, then tap Privacy Settings.
The Privacy Settings page shows:
- Terms & Consent Status — The version of the terms you accepted and when you accepted them.
- Download My Data — Export all of your personal data.
- Blocked Users — Manage users you’ve blocked. See the Reporting and Blocking guide for details.
- Delete My Account — Request permanent deletion of your account and data.
- Consent History — A log of all privacy-related actions on your account.
Download My Data #
You have the right to download a copy of all your personal data stored on PrayerConnect. This includes:
- Your profile information (name, email, account status, member since date)
- Organization memberships
- All of your prayers (prayer text, generated prayer, status, tags, sharing settings)
- Your consent history
To download your data:
- Go to Privacy Settings.
- Click the Download My Data button.
- A JSON file will be downloaded to your device containing all of your data.
Each data export is recorded in your consent history for your records.
Blocked Users #
If you’ve blocked any users, they’re listed here with the date you blocked them and an Unblock button next to each one.
Blocking hides a user’s prayers, comments, and updates from your feed instantly, and prevents them from commenting on your prayers. Blocking is a private, one-way setting — the other user is not notified.

Delete My Account #
You can request the permanent deletion of your PrayerConnect account and all associated data.
The fastest way to start the deletion process on the mobile app is to tap Profile in the bottom navigation, then tap the red Delete My Account row. On the web, go to Privacy Settings and click Delete My Account.
How it works:
- Tap Delete My Account (Profile screen on mobile, or Privacy Settings on the web) and confirm your request.
- A 7-day grace period begins. During this time, your account remains active.
- After 7 days, your account and all associated data will be permanently deleted.
Important notes:
- You can cancel your deletion request at any time during the 7-day grace period by returning to Privacy Settings and clicking Cancel Deletion.
- Once the 7-day period ends, the deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
- We recommend downloading your data before requesting deletion.

Do Not Sell My Personal Information #
PrayerConnect does not sell your personal information to third parties. This applies to all users, including those in California covered by the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).
You can view our full Do Not Sell disclosure by clicking the Do Not Sell link in the website footer on any page, or by visiting /DoNotSell directly.
Consent History #
PrayerConnect maintains a transparent log of all privacy-related actions on your account. You can view this log at the bottom of the Privacy Settings page. Tracked actions include:
- Account Registration — When you created your account
- Terms Accepted / Re-accepted — When you agreed to the terms (including the version number)
- Data Export — When you downloaded your data
- Deletion Requested / Cancelled — When you requested or cancelled account deletion
This log is included in your data export so you always have a complete record.
