Active prayers naturally fall down the Prayer Wall as newer prayers come in. When a need is still ongoing — a child's surgery delayed, a job search still in progress, a marriage still in difficulty — you can boost your own prayer to re-surface it to the top of the wall.
How to boost #
- Open your prayer's detail page (tap or click the prayer card on the Prayer Wall, or from your dashboard).
- Below the prayer, look for the Boost button next to the Share / Edit / Delete buttons.
- Tap it. The prayer immediately re-appears at the top of everyone's Prayer Wall, the same way a freshly-submitted prayer would.
The original date the prayer was submitted does not change — what changes is where it sorts in the feed. Anyone viewing the prayer detail still sees its real submission date.
One boost per prayer per day #
You can boost the same prayer once every 24 hours. After you boost, the button shows "Boosted" and is disabled until the cooldown clears. This is intentional — without the cooldown, the wall would become a contest for whoever boosts most.
If you have multiple active prayers, each one has its own 24-hour cooldown. You can boost three different prayers in a single day, just not the same one three times.
What boost does NOT do #
- It doesn't send a notification to anyone. The prayer just shows up at the top of the wall.
- It doesn't change the prayer's content or status.
- It doesn't earn you anything.
- It doesn't work on prayers you don't own. You can only boost your own prayers.
- It doesn't work on Pending or Flagged prayers — they have to be Active and shared first.
If you accidentally boost or want to take it back, simply wait 24 hours and don't boost again; the prayer will sort back to its original time. There's no "unboost" action.
