Submitting a Prayer Request

How to Submit a Prayer Request #

Submitting a prayer request is the core feature of PrayerConnect. When you submit a request, our AI generates a beautifully written prayer based on what you’ve shared.

Step-by-Step Submission #

  1. Click “Submit Prayer” from the navigation menu.
  2. Write your prayer request in the text area. Be as detailed or brief as you’d like — the AI will work with whatever you provide.
  3. Choose your options:
    • Emergency — Check this box if this is an urgent prayer need. Emergency prayers are highlighted in red and prioritized at the top of prayer lists.
    • Share with Community — Check this box if you want others to see and pray for this request. If unchecked, the prayer remains private to you.
  4. Select the organizations you want to share this prayer with. You can select multiple organizations. If none are selected, the prayer defaults to the PrayerConnect Community.
  5. Click “Submit Prayer”.

What Happens After Submission #

  1. Your prayer request enters the processing queue and appears as a yellow “Processing” card on your Dashboard.
  2. The AI reads your prayer request and generates a formatted prayer text.
  3. The AI also performs a content moderation check to ensure the request is appropriate.
  4. If approved, the prayer moves to Active status and appears as a green/blue/red card on your Dashboard.
  5. If flagged, the prayer moves to Rejected status for manual review by an administrator.

Organization Selection #

When submitting a prayer, you’ll see checkboxes for each organization you belong to (where you have permission to submit prayers). Selecting an organization means:

  • The prayer will appear on the Prayer Wall for members of that organization.
  • The prayer can be displayed on the organization’s Prayer Display page.
  • You can select multiple organizations if you want the prayer shared across several groups.

Tips for Writing Prayer Requests #

  • Write naturally — describe your situation, need, or thanksgiving in your own words.
  • Include specific details if you’re comfortable sharing them — it helps the AI generate a more meaningful prayer.
  • You can submit as many prayers as you need (up to 10 per hour).
  • Prayer requests can be as short as a sentence or as long as several paragraphs.
