How to Join an Organization #
Organizations in PrayerConnect represent churches, small groups, ministries, or any community that prays together. Joining an organization lets you share prayers with that community and see their shared prayers on your Prayer Wall.
The Invite Process #
Organizations are invite-only. To join an organization, you need an invitation from an administrator or leader of that organization.
How It Works #
- An organization admin sends you an invitation to your email address.
- You receive an email with a link to join the organization.
- Click the link in the email — it takes you to the Join Organization page on PrayerConnect.
- You’ll see the organization name and can choose to Accept or Reject the invitation.
- If you accept, you’re immediately added to the organization with default permissions.
- If you reject, the invitation is removed and you won’t be added.
After Joining #
Once you’ve accepted an invitation:
- The organization appears in your Profile page under your organizations list.
- When you submit a prayer, you can now select this organization to share the prayer with its members.
- Shared prayers from other members of this organization appear on your Prayer Wall.
- Your prayers shared with this organization appear on the organization’s Prayer Display page.
The Default Organization #
Every PrayerConnect user automatically belongs to the PrayerConnect Community — the default organization. This cannot be removed. It ensures that all users have at least one organization to share prayers with.
Pending Invitations #
If you have a pending invitation that you haven’t responded to yet, the organization will appear in your Profile with a “Pending” indicator. You won’t have any permissions in that organization until you accept the invitation.
Can’t Find an Invitation? #
- Check your spam/junk folder for the invitation email.
- Ask the organization administrator to resend the invitation.
- Make sure the admin used the correct email address — it must match your PrayerConnect account email.
