## Browsing Shared Prayers on the Prayer Wall

The Prayer Wall is a community prayer board where you can browse shared prayers from all the organizations you belong to. It’s a great way to discover prayer needs in your community and offer support.

**Shared prayers are public.** Anyone can see a shared prayer, including people without a PrayerConnect account: on its prayer page, the Prayer Wall, organization Prayer Displays, our public prayer feeds, and PrayerConnect’s social media (such as Discord, Facebook, YouTube, X, and Instagram). It shows your name, or “Anonymous” if you post anonymously. Prayers you don’t share stay private to you. See our [Privacy Policy](https://prayerconnect.church/privacy-policy/).

### Accessing the Prayer Wall

Click **“Prayer Wall”** from the **Menu** dropdown in the navigation bar. You must be logged in to access the Prayer Wall.

### What You’ll See

The Prayer Wall shows prayer cards from other members in a grid layout:

- **3 cards per row** on desktop screens
- **2 cards per row** on medium screens
- **1 card per row** on mobile devices

Each card displays:

- The **author’s name** (or **“Anonymous”** if the author chose to post anonymously)
- The **date** the prayer was submitted
- A **preview** of the prayer request (first 150 characters)
- **URGENT** badge for emergency prayers
- **SHARED** badge for shared prayers
- **ANSWERED** badge (green) for prayers the author has marked as answered
- **Category tags** as colored badges (if assigned)
- A **“Support with Prayer”** button with a count showing how many people have prayed

### Answered Prayers on the Prayer Wall

Prayers that have been marked as answered by their author display a green **ANSWERED** badge on the card. These prayers serve as testimonies of encouragement — a reminder that prayers are heard and answered. Answered prayers remain visible on the Prayer Wall alongside active requests.

### Anonymous Prayers

Some prayers on the Prayer Wall may show **“Anonymous”** as the author name. This means the person who submitted the prayer chose to share their request without revealing their identity. You can still support anonymous prayers by viewing them and clicking “I Prayed for This.”

### Filtering and Sorting

Use the filter bar at the top of the Prayer Wall to customize your view:

- **Sort by:** Choose between “Newest First” (default) or “Oldest First”
- **Organization:** Filter by “All Organizations” (default) or select a specific organization
- **Category:** Filter by tag category (e.g., Healing, Praise)
- **Search:** Type a keyword to search prayer text

### Which Prayers Appear

The Prayer Wall only shows prayers that meet all of these criteria:

- The prayer is **active** (status = processed and approved)
- The prayer is **shared** (the author chose to share it publicly)
- The prayer belongs to at least one organization that **you are a member of**

### Supporting Others in Prayer

Click on any prayer card to open the full prayer on the View Prayer page. You can click **“I Prayed for This”** to show your support — the author will see how many people have prayed for their request.

### Pagination

The Prayer Wall shows 12 prayers per page. Use the pagination controls at the bottom to browse through more prayers.
