# Getting the PrayerConnect App

## Getting the PrayerConnect App

The PrayerConnect app is free for iPhone and Android. It uses the same account as the web app at [prayer.prayerconnect.church](https://prayer.prayerconnect.church), so your prayers, organizations, and settings are the same wherever you sign in.

### Download

- **iPhone:** [PrayerConnect on the App Store](https://apps.apple.com/us/app/prayerconnect-church/id6763160005) (requires iOS 16 or later).
- **Android:** [PrayerConnect on Google Play](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=church.prayerconnect.mobile) (requires Android 10 or later).

You can also search for **PrayerConnect** in the App Store or Google Play.

### Signing in

PrayerConnect doesn’t use passwords. Each time you sign in, we email you a one-time passcode.

1. Open the app and enter your **email address**.
2. Tap **Send Passcode**.
3. Check your email for a **4-character passcode**. It expires after 5 minutes.
4. Enter the passcode and tap **Verify**.

If you already use PrayerConnect on the web, sign in with the same email address. Everything you’ve done on the web is already there.

### Creating an account in the app

1. On the sign-in screen, tap **Create an account**.
2. Enter your name and email address.
3. Agree to the Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, and EULA, then tap **Create Account**.
4. Sign in with the passcode we email you.

You must be at least 13 years old to use PrayerConnect. If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must agree to the terms for you.

### Notifications

After you sign in, the app asks whether it may send notifications. This is optional. If you allow them, you can get a notification when your prayer is ready, when someone comments on a prayer you follow, and for news from your organizations. You can change this at any time in the app’s Profile screen or in your phone’s settings. ### Updated terms

When our Terms of Service or Privacy Policy change, the app shows an **Updated Terms** screen the next time you open it. Review the documents and tap **Accept and Continue** to keep using the app.

### Troubleshooting

- **No passcode email?** Check your spam or junk folder, then request a new passcode. Only the most recent passcode works.
- **Signed out unexpectedly?** For your security, the app signs you out if you haven’t used it for 7 days. Just sign in again.
